2014-15AtAGlance

 

2014-15 was another eventfu year for Members of the NSWIWA Community.

.

Key activities:

    Manly Picnic                                                           21.9.2015-Dobroyd Point,  Manly

Organised a scenic walk for members and other interested participants.After a good walk provided lunch and refreshments.

 

    Grandparents day with Samarpan                          26.10.2015-Merrylands Park.

Organised a charity function inviting Samarpan(organization advocating for disabled children of Indian background)and provided games and amusements for handicapped children.

Provided snacks and softdrinks

 

 

    Harbour Cruise                                                      1.3.2015  -Circular Quay

Boarded  a luxury boat for a 3 hour cruise,with games and quiz etc.Finished with a 3course meal.

 

    Members day                                                         22.3.2015-Parramatta  Park

Organised TaiChi and Body Balance exercise session. One of the committee members performed an entertaining skit. Provided snacks and coffee,tea and cool drinks.

 

    Annual Day                                                            18.7.2015-Ermington Hall

Light music by Uma Iyer and troop,Chanda Melam by Ramu Iyer and troop and Bharatanatyam by Gayatri Krishnamurthy's students,followed by raffleprizes. Followed by 3course dinner.

 

 

 

Grants:

 

 

During the year, the Association applied for and received a grant of $600 for the Get Active-Stay Activeprogram for seniors from the NSW Government.


 

 

 

 

 

 

MonthlyMeetings:

 

 

 

Themonthlymeetingshavebeenverypopularamongourseniorcitizensinparticular. Regularmeetingshavebeenheldaddressingavarietyofsubjects.
